Dr. Merrill Reuter, MD
Director, Orthopaedics & Spine Surgeon
Merrill W. Reuter, MD, is our director of orthopaedics and specializes in minimally invasive approaches for treating a variety of spine conditions. Dr. Reuter has been Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Inc. since 1996, and re-certified in spine since 2006. He is also Board Certified by The American Board of Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In 2003, Dr. Reuter earned a Doctorate degree from the American International University Online Program in Surgical Research and a Master's degree in Chirurgie (surgery). He has attended and has participated in hundreds of local, regional, national, and international medical meetings, seminars and conventions regarding research, education and advances in multiple areas of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Reuter has presented over 80 lectures, not limited to, but including neck conditions and treatments, back conditions and treatments, surgery of the foot and ankle, vertebral disc replacements and minimally invasive endoscopic research, progress, and surgical treatments.
Dr. Reuter is one of the first to introduce minimally invasive spine surgery in Florida and is the director of the Minimally Invasive Spine update courses, sharing his expert knowledge and, in turn, offering more patients the option of endoscopic surgery for the spine.
Dr. Michael S. Propper
Dr. Michael S. Propper’s multidisciplinary approach has allowed him to excel in the fields of functional medicine, orthopaedic surgery, and regenerative orthopedics. Dr. Propper is also an expert at groundbreaking procedures that can relieve pain in ways never before possible.
The core principles behind his treatments arise from breakthroughs in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy. His innovative techniques help him to provide extraordinary, results-oriented medical care.
Dr. James C. Padula, DO
Interventional Pain Management
Dr. Padula has over 22 years of experience in treatment of spine and joint pain. Dr. Padula completed his Bachelor’s Degree at Villanova University. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine with Honors. He completed his internship at Maimonides Medical Center and residency at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove.
Dr. Padula is trained in Interventional Pain Management and Minimally Invasive Surgeries. Dr. Padula also trains physicians in the field of pain management. He specializes in:

Dr. Mark Metzger, DPM
Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Mark Metzger, DPM, is our director of podiatric medicine. He takes care of our foot and ankle patients, specializing in foot and ankle injuries, foot surgery, primary podiatric medicine, radiology, and sports medicine. Dr. Metzger received his bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Florida State University in Tallahassee in 1992 and his master’s degree in biomedical sciences from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.
In 1996, Dr. Metzger received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his podiatry residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida.
Dr. Eddie Sassoon
Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation
Dr. Eddie Sassoon has practiced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the State of Florida since 1988 and has provided quality medical care to thousands of patients in the South Florida area. Dr. Sassoon was awarded 1st place honors by the Annual Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for "Rehabilitation of Generic Amputee with Parkinson's Disease” in 1986 and has always continued to participate in research, studies and applications of soft tissue pain and other breakthrough treatments.
Dr. Kelly-Ann McDonald, DC, MS-INTM
Dr. McDonald earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She then pursued and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida.
Dr. McDonald is certified in Applied Kinesiology, Spinal Correction, Nutrition, Graston Technique and has extensive training in Acupuncture, Neuroemotional Technique, and Sacro-Occipital technique. Dr. McDonald constantly incorporates her knowledge of these various techniques in order to successfully provide the best care for her patients through an integrative approach.
Dr. McDonald is a member of the America Chiropractic Association, the Independent Chiropractic Association, Florida Chiropractic Association and the American Black Chiropractic Association.
Lorraine Weigand, FNP
Urgent Accident Care Nurse Practitioner
Lorraine Weigand is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy Association of Nurse Practitioners, and licensed by the state of Florida to provide family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems beginning in childhood and continuing throughout the aging process, and urgent care needs. She is also a certified medical examiner for DOT examinations.
She began her career in health care in 1996 as a Registered Nurse and accumulated experience in education, critical care, emergency care, and family medicine. She moved to Florida from Virginia, where she had lived for 11 years and earned advanced degrees in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.
Lorraine is very skilled in treating the needs of urgent care patients. She has a unique combination of strong nursing skills and medical training and strives to provide the best health care possible. She believes in building a long lasting and trusting relationship with patients and customers. She has works published in the Journal of Emergency Nursing.
